Statement
“Cali” is a pseudonym derived from one of my childhood nicknames; an affectionate truncation of the surname Calderon. As an artist I focus on stimulating contemplation through a spectrum of subject matters with subtle to exaggerated reinterpretations of the overlooked, the obvious and the unfamiliar. In my creative journey, the style of each painting can be best described as an evolving infusion of impressionist, figurative, street art and abstraction art movements.
